Geoff Clarke is stepping down as managing director of the Ontario Centres of Excellence's Centre for Materials Manufacturing (CMM) after a six-year tenure to pursue personal and business interests. Clarke joined the OCE program in 2000 as president of CMM predecessor, Materials and Manufacturing Ontario, replacing the retiring Dr Grant Allan (R$, July 28/00). He will be replaced on an interim basis by Bob Civak while the OCE undertakes an executive search for his replacement. While at OCE, Clarke was a key player in its transition to four amalgamated networks with a central governing structure, which took place March 31/04. Prior to joining OCE, he was CEO and chairman of AT Plastics Inc....
