Dr Grant McClarty

Dr Grant McClarty has been appointed VP research at Winnipeg-based Cangene Corp, succeeding Dr Wendy Johnson who is on long-term medical leave. McClarty comes to Cangene from the National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg, where he served as director of biomedical research for six years. He holds a PhD in microbiology from the Univ of Manitoba where he is currently a professor in the department of medical microbiology and infectious diseases. McClarty's expertise lies in Chlamydia research, host-parasite interactions and bacterial genomics….
