Donald Johnston is joining the Montreal-based law firm of Heenan Blaikie as counsel. Johnston recently completed a 10-year term as secretary general of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development in Paris. Johnston was a co-founder of the firm in 1973 but left to enter politics in 1978 with the government of Pierre Trudeau. He served in several senior positions including president of Treasury Board, minister of state for science and technology and minister of state for economic and regional development.
