CAMP seeks to incubate firms set on Chinese market

The Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) and the China Canada Angels Alliance Ltd (CCAA) has established the China Angels Mentorship Program (CAMP), a virtual incubation program to help Canadian firms shape their business models to enter the Chinese market. Up to 10 companies will receive between $100,000 and $200,000 in seed money from CCAA investors and potential co-investment from OCE's Market Readiness Program. Selected firms will spend a year working with Chinese angels as part of a two-year mentoring relationship through the CCAA. Preference will be given to information technology firms active in the healthcare, clean tech, finance, artificial intelligence and sustainability sectors. Participating companies will be announced October 1st. The CCAA was established in 2014 to build a cross-border ecosystem for early-stage innovative companies. It represents 28 Chinese angel investors and 11 private institutional/funds....
