Bernard Courtois has been appointed president and CEO of the Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC), replacing Bill Bergen who held the position for less than one year. Courtois is a veteran lawyer specializing in the telecommunications sector and other regulated industries. Since 1991, he has held a variety of positions at Bell Canada. Courtois has participated in many regulatory, policy and judicial proceedsing that have helped shape the competitive communications marketplace in Canada. He has served on the ITAC board of directors since 1999 and chaired board committees on broadband and telecommunications. He is past president of the International Institute of Communications in Montreal….
