Dr Gerri Sinclair

Dr Gerri Sinclair has joined the board of directors of Ballard Power Systems, Vancouver. Sinclair has a strong telecommunications background and is currently chair of the Canada Telecom Policy Review Panel. She is the former GM of MSN Canada and the founder of NCompass Labs, an Internet content management firm acquired by Microsoft in 2001. Other previous positions include president of the BC Premier's Technology Council and visiting scientist at IBM Research. Sinclair holds a PhD and honourary doctor of science from the Univ of British Columbia. She is currently a member of the Canada Foundation for Innovation board of directors, the Toronto Stock Exchange and the Communications Research Centre.
