Dr David Cox

Dr David Cox has been appointed CEO of TEC Edmonton effective April 1. Cox comes to TEC Edmonton from Quest PharmaTech Inc (formerly Altachem Pharma Ltd) where he served as president and CEO for 11 months. Between 1994 and 2005 he served as CEO for Apotex Fermentation Inc, Winnipeg, Synsorb Biotech Inc, Calgary, and KS Avicenna Inc, Edmonton. Before entering the corporate sector, Cox spent six years at the Alberta Research Council, first as head of the biotechnology department and then VP advanced technologies. He holds a PhD in microbiology from Leed Univ and spent several years at South Bank Polytechnic in London before moving to Canada in 1988. Cox replaces Pamela Freeman who has served as acting CEO following the departure of Dr Peter Robertson last year (R$, September 20/05)....
