Xerox Canada R&D Centre awarded 1,000th patent

The Xerox Research Centre of Canada (XRCC) has received a US patent for Fuser and Fixing Members Containing PEI-PDMS Block Copolymers, marking its 1,000th patent. The Mississauga ON-based R&D Centre has gained an international reputation for its prodigious and cost-effective patenting output, which it has achieved with a relatively small staff of 120. One of five Xerox R&D centres globally, XRCC focuses on new imaging and consumable materials for Xerox products, including its emulsion aggregation toner technology based on nanotechnology.
