UOIT receives $26.9 million in infrastructure funds

The Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) is receiving $26.9 million in federal infrastructure funds to establish a Centre of Advanced Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, providing new academic, entrepreneurial and research space on the campus. The CARIE building will include the construction of new teaching labs, collaborative space for ventures focusing on applied research and development, as well as conference and seminar rooms. The funding is intended to support UOIT's mandate to be a regional hub of market-driven teaching and research and leverage additional support from the business community, donors and other governments….
