Spectrum Signal Processing Inc, Burnaby BC, has received $8.3 million in assistance from Technology Partnerships Canada (TPC) for an R&D project to expand applications for the firm’s software-defined radio platforms (SDRs) for use in defence communications, intelligence and surveillance. The reconfigurable wireless technology platforms allows SDRs to be upgraded and change their mode of operation via software.
