Pierre Lassonde, chairman of the Franco-Nevada Corp has made a $25-million gift to York Univ for an expanded School of Engineering at the institution's Keele campus. Lalonde is the co-founder of Franco-Nevada, the first publicly traded gold royalty company. The school will be renamed the Lassonde School of Engineering.
