The federal government has provided $3.35 million for 29 projects designed to build the Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure (CGDI), a national initiative to make geospatial databases, tools and services accessible online. The federal contribution of up to 50% for each project resulted in another $4.5 million in funding from other partners.
