NRCan launches new clean energy projects

Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) has launched two clean energy competitions under its Electric Vehicle and Alternative Fuel Infrastructure initiative. Funding for the Energy Innovation Program ($46.1 million) and the Electric Vehicle and Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Deployment Initiative ($16.4 million) was announced in the 2016 Budget and will span two years. The first program provides between $3 million and $20 million for demonstration projects of electric vehicle infrastructure and grid integration, covering up to 50% of eligible costs. The latter covers up to half of project costs for near-term deployment of relevant infrastructure to a maximum of $5 million. It is conditionally repayable for up to 10 years after project completion....
