NRC renews funding for youngest clusters

The National Research Council (NRC) has renewed funding to the newest of its cluster initiatives in Charlottetown and Regina. The renewal provides $12 million over two years to the NRC Nutrisciences and Health Technology Cluster (in Charlottetown ($8 million) and Sustainable Urban Infrastructure Initiative in Regina ($4 million). Both cluster initiatives were launched in FY03-04. The nutrisciences cluster is working to identify renewable, naturally occurring, land- and marine-based resources that display significant health benefits for a range of diseases and conditions. Funding for the Regina cluster will be officially announced in early 2009....
