Obama administration strikes S&T transition team

The incoming administration of president-elect Barak Obama has established an S&T transition team to prepare for the implementation of its highly anticipated innovation agenda. The Technology, Innovation and Government Reform Policy Working Group is divided into four sub-teams: innovation and government, innovation and national priorities, innovation and science and innovation and civil society. The Obama administration is positioning innovation, S&T and R&D high on its list of economic and social priorities. It has also signaled its intention to restore scientific integrity to the White House, abandoning the ideological-driven stance of the George Bush administration in favour of science-based decision-making….
