NINT receives three microscopes worth $15M

The National Institute for Nanotechnology (NINT) has received three new electron microscopes as part of a partnership between the federal and Alberta governments. The microscopes, built by Hitachi High Technologies, expands NINT's electron microscope capacity and capabilities, enhancing its ability to assist companies in using nanotechnology for products and processes. Funding was provided by Western Economic Diversification ($3.4 million), National Research Council ($3.4 million), Alberta Advanced Education and Technology ($1.7 million), Alberta Innovates — Technology Futures ($1.7 million) and Western Economic Partnership Agreement ($1.5 million)....
