Namir Anani has been appointed president and CEO of the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) effective December 5th, replacing Paul Swinwood who is retiring from the position after 18 years. Anani comes to the ICTC from the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission where he was executive director of policy, development and research. Prior to joining the CRTC, he held several executive positions in the public and private sectors including the department of Canadian Heritage, Nortel and Novartis in Switzerland. Anani holds a BSc in electrical engineering from the Univ of Salford (UK) and holds a PEng designation in Ontario….
