James Skippen has been appointed president and CEO of Wi-LAN, replacing the retiring Bill Dunbar. His appointment coincides with the move of the Calgary-based firm's headquarters to Ottawa. Skippen comes to Wi-LAN from MOSAID Technologies Inc where he held the position of senior VP patent licensing and general counsel. Wi-LAN will retain its Calgary operations, but the move of head office is reportedly due to Skippen's desire to remain in the Ottawa region.
