The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) has announced $15 million for three projects under its Pathways to Health Equity for Aboriginal Peoples initiative. The $25-million program is aimed at research in the areas of suicide prevention, obesity and diabetes, tuberculosis and oral health. The organizations selected for Partners for Engagement and Knowledge Exchange (PEKE) grants will receive $1 million annually over five years. PEKE grants complement other programs under the Pathways initiative including Implementation Research Teams, Applied Public Health Chairs and Population Health Intervention Research.
