Gary Schmid

Gary Schmid has been appointed CEO of a new business unit created by Neurochem Inc to develop and market nutraceuticals. Schmid comes to Neurochem from Sante Naturelle AG Ltd, where he served as COO and then president and CEO. He also spent 20 years with Abbot Laboratories Ltd in a variety of sales and marketing roles. The federal government has appointed three new members to the governing council of the National Research Council. John Harker is president and vice chancellor of Cape Breton Univ, a position he has held since 2003.
