Dr Michael Raymont has been appointed CEO of Energy INet, a not-for-profit network designed to attract R&D funding to the oil, gas and coal sectors (R$, March 30/05). Raymont is the network’s first full-time CEO, replacing interim CEO Dr Eddy Isaacs effective October 6. He comes to Energy INet from the National Research Council where he was VP technology and industry support and acting president until the appointment of Dr Pierre Coulombe (R$, December 21/04). Prior to joining NRC, Raymont held executive positions in the private sector including Boston-based EquipNet Inc and the non-regulated assets of Telus Corp (international operations and venture investments).
