Dr John Evans

Dr John Evans died February 13th at age 85. Evans was successful high-tech executive and unflagging supporter of research who was instrumental in the founding of the MaRS Discovery District, of which he was the first board chair. He held several technology executive positions including CEO of Allelix (dubbed Canada's first biotechnology company) and was the first chair of the Canada Foundation for Innovation.
