Dr John Capone

Dr John Capone has been appointed VP research and Western Univ as of October 1st. Capone is currently dean of the faculty of science at McMaster Univ and has strong ties to both institutions, having received a BSc in biochemistry from Western and a PhD in biochemistry from McMaster. As VP research, Capone will emphasize partnerships between the public and private sectors and the university as well as nurturing social sciences and humanities research. He replaces Dr Ted Hewitt, who stepped down in January to pursue his research on Brazil at the national level….
