Dr Ilene Busch-Vishniac

Dr Ilene Busch-Vishniac has been appointed provost and VP academic at McMaster Univ. Busch-Vishniac is currently a professor of engineering at John Hopkins Univ in Baltimore MD. She holds masters and PhD degrees in engineering from MIT and worked at Bell Laboratories in the acoustic research department. She is joined at McMaster by her husband, Dr Ethan Vishniac, an astrophysicist specializing in shock waves, cosmology and magnetic fields.
