Dr Genevieve Tanguay has been appointed acting president and CEO and board chair of the Fonds de la recherche en santé du Québec (FRSQ). Tanguay's new responsibilities will be performed in combination with her current role as assistant DM of the research, innovation, science and society directorate of the Ministry of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade. FRSQ has been without a permanent chief executive since the departure earlier this year of Dr Alain Beaudet, who was selected as president of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
