Dr Edward McCauley

Dr Edward McCauley has been appointed VP research at the Univ of Calgary, effective July 1st, replacing interim VP Dr Jon Meddings. McCauley returns to U of C after a two-year stint as director of the Univ of California Santa Barbara's National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis. Prior to that, he was a professor at U of C's department of biological sciences for 24 years. McCauley is a co-founder of the Alberta Ingenuity Centre for Water Research and has held several visiting international professorships. He holds a BSc and MSc from the Univ of Ottawa and a PhD from McGill Univ.
