Canada's competitive standing is improving: study

The declining value of the dollar is making Canada's industries more globally competitive, according to Competitive Alternatives, KPMG's Guide to International Business Location Costs. Combined withthe lower cost of cheap natural gas and sea freight, Canada now ranks second behind Mexico and well ahead of ninth-place US. Public support for digital services (software development and gaming) and R&D are also deemed key factors in boosting Canada's competitive standing.
