TPC invests $3.2 million for JSF R&D projects

Technology Partnerships Canada (TPC) is investing $3.2 million in two small R&D projects as part of the US Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program. CaseBank Technologies Inc, Brampton ON, receives $1.7 million for a $4.8 million software development project to improve efficiency of maintenance support throughout the aircraft's life cycle. Adacel Inc, Brossard PQ, receives $1.4 million for a $3.8-million project to develop an adaptable speech recognition system, allowing pilots to execute commands through voice activation. Canada joined the JSF development program in 2002 and is contributing $240 million over 10 years, which gives Canadian firms access to the largest international defence contract ever awarded….
