Social enterprise accelerator launched at UNB

The Pond-Deshpande Centre at the Univ of New Brunswick has launched a Social Enterprise Accelerator Program to help bridge the gap between resource-strapped social entrepreneurs and the creation of scalable social enterprises. Called B4Change, the accelerator will provide mentorship, expertise and investor exposure for six-month terms in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. The centre was established last year with a $5-million combined donation from UNB grads Gerry Pond, chairman, Mariner Partners, and Gururaj Deshpande, president and chairman of Sparta Group LLC, Stoneham MA....
