World Heart Corp has received a $10-million repayable loan from Technology Partnerships Canada (TPC) to conduct clinical trials of its first generation HeartSaver ventricular assist device (VAD). TPC has also indicated it will consider funding the next two generations of the fully implantable heart assist device.
