Toronto remains Canada's most innovative city and the 11th globally, according to the 8th annual Innovation Cities Index. Other Canadian cities that placed in the top 100 include Montreal (36), Vancouver (39), Quebec City (69) and Calgary (92). Canadian cities moving up the rankings are Edmonton (122), Ottawa (254) and Winnipeg (261). The world's most innovative city is Silicon Valley (San Francisco-San Jose), followed by New York, London, Boston, Paris, Vienna, Munich, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Seattle. The top Asian city is Seoul (12), which placed ahead of Tokyo (15) and, Sydney (17). The top-ranked Latin American cities are São Paulo (123) and Rio de Janeiro (138). In the Middle-East, Africa & Eurasia, Dubai (28) topped the list.
