Think Research Corp will receive up to $5 million from the province to develop its health care cloud platform, a project that will support up to 350 jobs in Toronto. The platform is said to be the first of its kind in Canada and is intended to unify third party technologies into a single health care platform. For health care patients and providers, improvements in the firm’s existing software mean wider access to innovative clinical solutions and unhampered sharing of health care information. Funding flows through Ontario’s Jobs and Prosperity Fund and represents 10.2% of the aggregate investment of $48.88 million by the company. Of the total jobs to be supported by the project, 228 are new while 130 are retained positions. Target completion of the project is September 2023.
