The Strategic Aerospace and Defence Initiative (SADI) program has awarded $779,000 to Engineering Services Inc (ESI) to conduct R&D on a next generation mobile robotics platform for uses such as reconnaissance in law enforcement, defence and other security sectors. The Toronto-based ESI will collaborate on the project with faculty and graduates from the Univ of Toronto, which will expand the use of robotics and automation to other companies and among its supply chain partners.
