Richard Dicerni

Richard Dicerni has been appointed DM Industry Canada, replacing Suzanne Hurtubise who becomes DM Public Safety. Dicerni comes to Industry Canada from the private sector, most recently as partner at Mercer Delta Canada, a position he held since December/05. Prior to that he held a series of senior management positions at Ontario Power Generation Inc between 1997 and 2005, including senior VP corporate and environmental affairs and acting president and CEO. Dicerni also held a series of senior positions in the Ontario government, including DM education and training, intergovernmental affairs and environment and energy. He began his career in the federal government, holding a series of increasingly senior positions between 1973 and 1991. He holds a BA from the Univ of Montreal.
