The Dunin-Deshpande Queen’s Innovation Centre (DDQIC) at Queen’s University opened the Rose Innovation Hub within Mitchell Hall, a $72-million multi-purpose facility that received $22 million from the federal and Ontario governments. The Rose Innovation Hub features 10 group rooms for early-stage innovators, the LinQLab workshop, and the SparQ Studios, a makerspace equipped with 3D scanners, 3D printers, laser cutting, and other tools. The DDQIC celebrated the opening with its first-ever Ignition Week (Jan 14-18), a five-day program focused on entrepreneurship and innovation.
