The Government of Ontario is providing $7.5 million to two biofuels projects to support the new Bioproducts Initiative at the Univ of Western Ontario (UWO). UWO's new Institute for Chemicals and Fuels from Alternative Resources will receive $5 million to turn agricultural byproducts into fuel and chemicals such as organic insecticides, pesticides and fertilizers.
