Ontario awards L-3 WESCAM $17.5 million

The Government of Ontario has awarded L-3 WESCAM a grant of $17.5 million for the development of airborne imaging systems for use in the aerospace sector. The R&D funding will allow the Burlington ON-based company to develop intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance systems and create 375 new jobs over five years in addition to maintaining its current workforce of 555.
