OGI launches public web site on genomics

The Ontario Genomics Institute (OGI) has launched a website designed to help give the general public a better understanding of genetics and genomics. The website — www.WhyGenomics.ca — will provide "bite-sized information" on how genomics plays a role in human health as well as crop and environmental protection. It will also offer details on OGI's educational programs and provide resources for teachers who can request visits from experts to address school classes. The web site is part of a larger OGI initiative to engage the public on genomics and how it can improve people's lives as the field matures....
