NSERC boosts value of Synergy Awards

The Natural Science and Engineering Research Council is boosting the value of its Synergy Awards for Innovation from $25,000 to $200,000, an eight-fold increase. The deadline for the 2008 awards is May 1st, with the awards to be presented in the fall. In addition to the $200,000 award for university researchers, NSERC also gives the industrial partner an opportunity to hire an Industrial R&D Fellow and will cover the industrial portion of the fellow's salary for two years....
