Newfoundland gets first private accredited IT program

Newfoundland is home to the first nationally accredited information technology (IT) program offered by a private institution. The Graduate Centre for Applied Technology was granted accreditation status through an agreement between the province's Department of Education, the Canadian Information Processing Society and Operation Online Inc, a non-for-profit corporation established to grow Newfoundland's IT sector.
