Research Data Canada (RDC) has been formally launched. Led by the National Research Council's Canada Institute for Scientific and Technical Information, the multi-disciplinary group of universities, institutes, libraries, granting agencies, and individual researchers was created following a key recommendation of the 2011 Canadian Research Data Summit. Its role is to coordinate data management activities across the country, sectors and disciplines. RDC is also striking five working groups to tackle issues related to preserving and making research data in Canada accessible. FMI: http://rds-sdr.cisti-icist.nrc-cnrc.gc.ca....
