New Brunswick stimulates innovation SMEe

The New Brunswick Department of Economic Development has opened 12 offices across the province and launched three programs to stimulate the innovation, growth and export reach of the province's small- and medium-sized enterprises. The INNOV8 Program (replacing the Technology Adoption and Commercialization Program) provides up to $50,000 for each successful proposal in the areas of aerospace and defence, biosciences, industrial fabrication, information and communications technology, value-added food and value-added wood. The New Brunswick Growth Program is designed to stimulate capital investment and will provide up to $100,000 for new start-ups and $60,000 for existing firms. The Export Development Program will provide up to $20,000 on a matching basis for a wide range of marketing, outreach and business intelligence activities....
