Military health research receives $10 million

A new $10-million fund has been establish to conduct research aimed at enhancing the protection, health and well-being of military personnel, veterans and their families. The fund is receiving $5 million each from Defence R&D Canada (DRDC) and the True Patriot Love Foundation, a national charity founded in 2009. The funding will flow through the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research (CIMVHR), which engages existing research from a network of 35 universities and acts as a conduit between academia, government, industry and other organization. It will act as a procurement tool for accessing services from DRDC, Canadian Forces Health Services and Veteran Affairs Canada....
