Knowledge Infrastructure funds continue roll-out

The federal government has announced funding for two more provinces under its $2-billion Knowledge Infrastructure Program (KIP). In Alberta, KIP is leveraging provincial funding to provide $348 million for the province's colleges and universities. The exact amounts are only available for the Univ of Alberta which received $52 million from KIP and $75.6 million from provincial sources. In Nova Scotia, KIP is providing $56.7 million and provincial sources are contributing $57.2 million for a total of $113.9 million. The only other province for which an announcement has been made is British Columbia, which received a total of $455.1 million for 29 projects (R$, April 16/09)...
