Karimah Es Sabar has been appointed senior VP business and strategic affairs with the Centre for Drug Research and Development (CDRD) as the Vancouver-based organization expands activities across Canada and internationally. Es Sabar is currently president of Life Sciences BC and will take on joint responsibilities with both organizations until April/10 when she assumes CDRD duties fulltime. She has worked in the life sciences industry since 1982 in several senior positions including direct marketing and business development at Connaught Laboratories Ltd (now Sanofi Pasteur), VP and COO of Vancouver-based Medsurge Medical Inc, and founder and managing director of SAL Healthcare Ltd.
