Justin Leushner has been appointed CEO of the Centre for Imaging Technology Commercialization (CIMTEC), a Centre of Excellence for Commercialization and Research, effective August 8. Leushner comes to CIMTEC from TechAlliance of South Western Ontario where he served as VP and worked with advisors, analysts, entrepreneurs-in-residence and more than 300 companies. Prior to TechAlliance, he developed a national molecular diagnostics program for MDS Inc and was a business analyst and portfolio advisor for the Canadian Medical Discoveries Fund. Leushner holds an MBA from Western Univ and a BSc in cell physiology/genetics from the Univ of British Columbia, as well as numerous technical designations in forensic science and molecular biology. CIMTEC is headquartered in Toronto and London ON and works with researchers and companies in imaging-related medical technology sectors to accelerate commercialization. Leushner is the third CEO at CIMTEC in five years, succeeding Greg Hood who was appointed in 2016 and Bart Sullivan who held the position starting in 2012.
