Jamison Steeve has been appointed executive director of the Martin Prosperity Institute (MPI) at the Univ of Toronto and the Institute of Competitiveness & Prosperity, a leading think tank on the role of sub-national factors in global economic prosperity. Steeves comes to the position from the Ontario public service where his most recent position was principal secretary in the Office of the Premier. In this position, he played a key role in the development and writing of Throne speeches, provincial budgets and economic updates. Prior to undertaking public policy, he practiced law with Toronto-based Fasken Martineau Du-Moulin. Steeve holds a bachelor of education from Queen's Univ and a law degree from Dalhousie Univ.
