India and Canada launch medical R&D projects

Four new R&D projects between Canada and India valued at $6.7 million have been approved by International Science and Technology Partnerships Canada (ISTPCanada), bringing the total under the bilateral agreement to 12. The new projects are all in the medical field (two in cancer, one in malaria and one in sexually transmitted diseases). Canada will pick up the tab for its share of the programs, with the Indian side financed by the Indian Department of Biotechnology….
