Genome Canada is partnering with the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) on a $4-million initiative focused on childhood diseases. The project will see CIHR researchers utilize next-generation sequencing technologies located at Genome Canada's regional centres to accelerate the speed of translation of gene discoveries to clinical medicine and advance the adoption of new technologies. Candidates will be those involving genes that can be identified quickly and have a small number of subjects.
