DRDC forms Institute for Research in Defence & Security

Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) is establishing an Institute for Research in Defence and Security to partner with the academic community to find solutions to challenges Canadian Armed Forces members face when using technology. The institute will encourage research, academic, technical and scientific communities to self-organize and create innovative networks constituting topic-specific centres of expertise by establishing an S&T environment built on resource, information and knowledge sharing. The scope of each centre ranges from basic concepts to mature technologies and full capabilities.
